Academic Performance Commission

As a unit of our university, which is a research university, this commission aims to determine the academic goals of the Faculty of Science and its departments; to annually evaluate academic activities such as publications, conference papers, projects, and patents to improve academic quality; and to analyze the standing of our Faculty and departments among other research universities while ensuring necessary adjustments.

Commission for Fighting Addiction

The Commission for Combating Addiction aims to produce effective, sustainable, and science-based solutions against addiction. Its mission is to increase the awareness and consciousness levels of department students, academic, and administrative staff regarding addiction and to minimize the negative effects caused by addictions.

IT (Information Technology) Commission

This commission aims to organize the faculty’s web and informatics pages, ensure that English and Turkish content remains up-to-date, and carry out activities to be performed during this process.

Bologna Coordination

It aims to carry out the activities to be performed by the Bologna commission.

Scholarship Commission

It aims to convey all kinds of announcements regarding scholarships and social service applications and to ensure the execution of activities in this process.

PhD Qualification Committee

This committee is authorized to make decisions regarding the PhD proficiency/qualification exam that students in the Mathematics PhD program at the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences are required to take.

Faculty of Science International Academic Relations Commission

Taking into account the needs and capacity of the university and the faculty, this commission aims to guide and evaluate relevant committees toward establishing bilateral and multilateral collaborations for student and staff exchange with domestic and international universities.

Education Commission

In line with the university’s goals, it aims to organize education and training within the framework of undergraduate education in all departments of the Faculty of Science, and to monitor, carry out, and evaluate studies for the development of education.

Accessible DEU Coordination

It aims to ensure the execution of activities related to students with disabilities.

Faculty Graduation Commission

It aims to organize the graduation ceremony to be held for students graduating from our faculty.

Faculty Seminar and Scientific Events Commission

It aims to carry out activities related to seminars and scientific events.

Quality and Accreditation Commission

In line with the university’s goals, it aims to determine the quality objectives of the Faculty and departments, evaluate academic and administrative services in the unit, and ensure the execution of activities in the process of quality improvement and accreditation.

Career Planning Commission

It aims to carry out career activities planned for undergraduate students in cooperation with the Career Planning and Alumni Relations Coordination.

Alumni Communication Commission

It aims to ensure the execution of activities related to communication with alumni.

Social Responsibility Commission

It aims to plan and organize activities such as seminars, workshops, and projects to develop social responsibility awareness among academic and administrative staff and students in the faculty. Committee Members: Asst. Prof. Dr. Erdem ALKIM

Sports Commission

It aims to examine sports activities within the faculty and departments in terms of legislation and annual feasibility and to ensure the execution of the activities.

Internship Commission

It aims to organize, conduct, and supervise the internship studies of students at the departmental level.

Strategic Plan Commission

As a unit of our research university, this commission aims to: determine the academic goals of the Faculty of Science departments; annually evaluate academic activities (publications, papers, projects, patents) for quality improvement; conduct necessary research and regulations to ensure undergraduate and graduate education activities meet international standards; determine societal contribution strategies; manage societal contribution activities; set research strategies and targets; establish the relationship between research and local/regional/national development goals; and determine strategic steps to ensure the sustainability of research resources.

Promotion Activities Commission

The commission is responsible for introducing the academic and social opportunities of the department to visiting students and informing them.

Distance Education Coordination

It aims to ensure the execution of activities related to distance education.

Minor and Double Major (ÇAP) Coordination

It aims to ensure the execution of activities during the Minor and Double Major process.

Lateral Transfer and Adaptation Commission

The commission evaluates lateral transfer applications between equivalent undergraduate programs of the university and higher education institutions whose equivalence is recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), as well as course exemption applications within the scope of the relevant Lateral Transfer Directive and Exemption and Adaptation Directive. Additionally, it evaluates which semester or term students who return to education via amnesty or similar reasons will start, and whether the candidate has the right to exemption in relevant applications.
