As a unit of our university, which is a research university, this commission aims to determine the academic goals of the Faculty of Science and its departments; to annually evaluate academic activities such as publications, conference papers, projects, and patents to improve academic quality; and to analyze the standing of our Faculty and departments among other research universities while ensuring necessary adjustments.

The Commission for Combating Addiction aims to produce effective, sustainable, and science-based solutions against addiction. Its mission is to increase the awareness and consciousness levels of department students, academic, and administrative staff regarding addiction and to minimize the negative effects caused by addictions.

This committee is authorized to make decisions regarding the PhD proficiency/qualification exam that students in the Mathematics PhD program at the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences are required to take.
Taking into account the needs and capacity of the university and the faculty, this commission aims to guide and evaluate relevant committees toward establishing bilateral and multilateral collaborations for student and staff exchange with domestic and international universities.

As a unit of our research university, this commission aims to: determine the academic goals of the Faculty of Science departments; annually evaluate academic activities (publications, papers, projects, patents) for quality improvement; conduct necessary research and regulations to ensure undergraduate and graduate education activities meet international standards; determine societal contribution strategies; manage societal contribution activities; set research strategies and targets; establish the relationship between research and local/regional/national development goals; and determine strategic steps to ensure the sustainability of research resources.

The commission evaluates lateral transfer applications between equivalent undergraduate programs of the university and higher education institutions whose equivalence is recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), as well as course exemption applications within the scope of the relevant Lateral Transfer Directive and Exemption and Adaptation Directive. Additionally, it evaluates which semester or term students who return to education via amnesty or similar reasons will start, and whether the candidate has the right to exemption in relevant applications.
