Faculty members of the department have been and are involved in various research and development projects within the framework of support, consultancy or cooperation agreements with different institutions, especially national and international research institutes. The main examples of these institutions are Dokuz Eylül University, TÜBİTAK, İZKA, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate, Universidad de Jaén (Spain), NASA-affiliated GeoCosmo Science Research Center and Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Control Systems Institute (Institute). of Control Systems).

Within or outside of the applied scientific research projects mentioned above, faculty members and graduate students continue their scientific studies actively in important international and national refereed publications and conferences / symposiums in their fields of expertise. Most of these studies are officially and financially supported and supported by Dokuz Eylul University, especially the Rectorate and Faculty administration.

The Computer Sciences Master’s Program, opened within the body of Dokuz Eylül University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, started its educational activities by accepting students in the Fall semester of the 2014-2015 Academic Year. In the program, which gave its first graduates in 2017, our currently registered students continue their course and thesis studies.
