The first Computer Science Department of our country, which was established on September 14, 2009 within the Faculty of Science of Dokuz Eylül University, started to accept its first students in the undergraduate program in the 2012-2013 academic year. The language of instruction is Turkish and the formal education program is implemented. Candidate students are accepted according to their success levels in the MF-1 score type within the scope of the YKS exam conducted by ÖSYM every year.

Our Mission; To contribute to the development of the society with the projects it will design by providing education, research and consultancy activities in line with the objectives of the University and our Faculty. Increasing the quality of students, constantly researching the developments in the world of science, renewing the curriculum are among our main goals.

The Department of Computer Science aims to train professionals who can keep up with scientific and technological developments and are ready for working life, with its teaching plan designed by its nationally and internationally experienced academic staff. In addition to being able to work successfully in the fields of information technologies, research and development, engineering, data and system analysis, with the knowledge, skills and experiences gained by the graduates of the department during their education; academic qualifications to carry out scientific research in various academic institutions and to continue their professional development with independent studies; It is aimed to have the infrastructure to establish pioneering and innovative companies that respond to the changing needs of society.
